Ranted Word Heritage Site status by UNESCO for its uniqueness, Sintra is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and inspiring places you might visit in Portugal. Conveniently set within an abrupt chain in deep green mountains, Sintra offers a unique and rich arquitectural experience with its amazing sastles, gardens, extravagant residences, and historic buildings. Tracing different periods in the history of Portugal, this is a town of kings and queens, of religion, romanticism and artists that trough the centuries molded the diversity of this picturesque town.

LISBON TOUR
Lisbon, capital of Portugal, is a unique experience for those who enjoy the faster pace of the city. Although “Lisboa” feels more laid-back then other European Capitals this would be a more intense tour compared to going to places like Cascais Village or Sintra. Lisbon is a multifaceted experience – from the visual appeal of the wider, tree-lined Avenues of the “Art Nouveau”, to the narrow curvy streets of the of old neighborhoods, to the diversity of smells in the streets – Theres a constant change of beat.
Lisbon represents not only the history of Portugal, but also the history of Europe. Legend says Ulisses himself named the city – The influence of the Roman, Moorish and Catholic, and more recent eras can be lived in the streets, monuments, churches, and castles like Castelo de S.Jorge or the Sé de Lisboa. The city is spread across seven hills and most of them have amazing view points overlooking the city were you can rest and eat.
And yet Lisbon is so much more. The Fado music, the fresh bread, wine and pasteries can be found in the narrow streets as the typical yellow trams create color and movement. For its cultural diversity, Lisbon is a unique mix of modern and ancient times. Definitely one of the most enjoyable cities in Europe.
Tour Itinerary :
Intro:
Because there’s literally dozens of points of interest scattered through Lisbon, we focus our tour downtown and go from there to different locations. This is a walking tour because personally we feel it’s the best way to move in Lisbon and enjoy the tour, so we advise comfortable clothing for walking.
Tour routes:
We suggest a walk through the busy Augusta Street downtown area until we reach the commerce square, followed by a visit to the beautiful “Sé de Lisboa”, and at the end a hike to the “Portas do Sol” Viewpoint (translated means gates of the sun), where you can have a rest and try a local pastry enjoying an amazing view over the capital’s old neighborhood of Alfama.
Then we can drive to the Belém area to see Jerónimo’s Monastery, the Belém Tower, and the Portuguese Discoveries monument.
Notes:
– Only 1 monument included in price. **we don’t recommend going into the Monastery unless the line is short. It is first come first serve.
